HEAVEN STANDARD AND PRINCIPLES FOR TRUE CHRISTIANITY (SECTION 7)

TITLE-  GOD'S PERFECT WILL (SECTION 7)

1. Warn each other every day, as long as it is called "today," so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God: Hebrews 3:13

2. Mark out a straight path for your feet. Then those who follow you, though they are weak and lame, will not stumble and fall but will become strong: Hebrews 12:13

3. Try to live in peace with everyone, and seek to live a clean and holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14

4. Look after each other so that none of you will miss out on the special favor of God. Watch out that no bitter root of unbelief rises up among you, for whenever it springs up, many are corrupted by its poison: Hebrews 12:15

5. Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau. He traded his birthright as the oldest son for a single meal: Hebrews 12:16

6. Don't look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don't fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. The way to life--to God!-is vigorous and requires total attention: Matthew 7:13-14, Romans 6:13, Luke 14:33, Daniel 3:2-30

7. Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you've got, be resolute: 1Corinthians 16:13, 1Peter 4:15-16, Romans 14:16

8. God wants you to be strong: Ephesians 6:10, 1Corinthians 16:13, Luke 9:62, Daniel 3:2-30, John 12:27-28, John 16:20-22

9. When you fast, don't make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, who try to look pale and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I assure you, that is the only reward they will ever get: Matthew 6:16

10. Always be joyful: 1Thessalonians 5:16, Galatians 4:27

11. Keep on praying: 1Thessalonians 5:17

12. Do not stifle the Holy Spirit: 1Thessalonians 5:19

13. Do not scoff at prophecies: 1Thessalonians 5:20

14. Test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good: 1Thessalonians 5:21

15. Keep away from every kind of evil: 1Thessalonians 5:22

16. Stop fooling yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world's standards, you will have to become a fool so you can become wise by God's standards: 1Corinthians 3:18, 1Corinthians 15:33, James 1:26, James 1:16

17. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed: James 5:16

18. Worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if you are asked about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. But you must do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak evil against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ: 1Peter 3:15-16, Leviticus 19:11, Leviticus 19:13, Leviticus 19:15-16, Leviticus 19:35-36, Leviticus 19:33-34, Exodus 23:1-2, Proverbs 13:11.

19. You can receive eternal life if you keep the commandments: Matthew 19:17, 1John 2:24, 1John 3:24, Daniel 3:2-30

20. Be careful not to brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. Remember, you are just a branch, not the root: Romans 11:18
