HEAVEN STANDARD AND PRINCIPLES FOR TRUE CHRISTIANITY (SECTION 6)

TITLE:  GOD'S PERFECT WILL (SECTION 6)

1. Run away from sexual sin: 1Corinthians 6:18, 1Thessalonians 5:22, 1Corinthians 5:9&11, 1Corinthians 15:33

2. Don't sin by letting anger gain control over you. Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry: Ephesians 4:26-27

3. If you are a thief, stop stealing. Begin using your hands for honest work, and then give generously to others in need: Ephesians 4:28

4. Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful: Ephesians 4:29, Proverbs 12:25, Proverbs 13:3

5. Grow in the special favor and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: 2Peter 3:18

6. Work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Doing this, you will never stumble or fall away: 2Peter 1:10

7. Continue on as you were when God called you: 1Corinthians 7:20&24, 1Timothy 4:14-16

8. Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer: Revelation 2:10, James 1:2, John 16:33, Matthew 5:11-12, Romans 12:12

9. Be careful how you live among your unbelieving neighbors: 1Peter 2:12, James 3:13, Philippians 4:21, 1Corinthians 15:33, Matthew 10:11-13

10. Tell those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But their trust should be in the living God. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should give generously to those in need, always being ready to share with others whatever God has given them: 1Timothy 6:17-19

11. Run from all the evil things, and follow what is right and good. Pursue a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness: 1Timothy 6:10-11

12. But when you are arrested for doing the gospel work and stand trial, don't worry about what to say in your defense. Just say what God tells you to. Then it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit: Mark 13:10, Luke 24:46-47

13. Encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing: 1Thessalonians 5:11, Colossians 3:12-14, Romans 14:19, Ephesians 4:29, Acts 9:31

14. Don't let bad example influence you. Follow only what is good. Remember that those who do good prove that they are God's children, and those who do evil prove that they do not know God: 3John vs 11

15. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. Follow anything that makes you want to do right. Pursue faith and love and peace, and enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts: 2Timothy 2:22, 1Corinthians 6:18-20

16. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown: Revelations 3:11, 2Timothy 3:14-15, Matthew 7:15, John 12:27-28, Revelations 2:25, 2Thessalonians 2:15, Hebrews 10:23, Daniel 3:2-30

17. Work hard so God can approve you. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth: 2Timothy 2:15, Colossians 3:16, Joshua 1:8

18. Whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father: Colossians 3:17

19. Honor those who are your leaders in the Lord's work. They work hard among you and warn you against all that is wrong. Think highly of them and give them your wholehearted love because of their work. And remember to live peaceably with each other: 1Thessalonians 5:12-13, Phillipians 2:29-30

20. Fight the good fight for what we believe. Hold tightly to the eternal life that God has given you:  1Timothy 6:12, Ephesians 6:11-18, Matthew 7:13-14, Titus 2:11-13, 1John 2:15
